P-Studio Divulges New Details About Persona 3 and Persona 5 Dancing Games

Persona 5: Dancing Star Night and Persona 3: Dancing Moon Night will be coming soon, the newest “dance-focused” riffs on the Persona series, following suit from Persona 4: Dancing All Night, a groovy departure from the series’ normal monster-based dalliances. Atlus revealed more details about the games in the latest issue of Famitsu, where P-Studio’s Kazuhisa Wada had news to share about the upcoming titles.

There’s been a special dancer assigned to each character, Wada notes in the interview, to give characters their distinct movements and different motions, and just because the game are being developed at the same time, that doesn’t mean that they’re going to be “cut any slack” for the team because it’s twice the work at the same time.

Partner dances will showcase how each character feels about the other with choreography that reflects these relationships, and you’ll be able to choose a partner for each Fever dance that you perform. You can accessorize your dancers with hair colors, colored lenses and more, and this time the games will take place in a “familiar stage.” Of course, there are plans for DLC, and there’s a new mode coming that lets you “enjoy character interactions” as well. Overall, they look to be more full-featured additions to the series than Persona 4: Dancing All Night, but we won’t get to see more of them until their release in Japan on May 24, 2018. You should have plenty of time to perfect your face moves until then.
