Nintendo has announced an upcoming direct focusing on the Animal Crossing smartphone game. They will be holding the event later on Oct. 25 at 12:00 JST.
That said, the company has already revealed that they will not be revealing any projects related to the 3DS or Nintendo Switch during the upcoming direct. Similarly, Nintendo doesn’t plan on revealing any other information aside from the mobile title.
The Animal Crossing mobile game was first announced back in Spring 2016 and was meant to be one of the first smartphone applications published by Nintendo. However, they had to reorganize their mobile rollout plans after launching Super Mario Run. The company has yet to launch any other free mobile game since Fire Emblem Heroes, which was back in February.
Animal Crossing has become one of Nintendo’s most popular franchises for its fun and laid-back gameplay. As a life simulator, the player creates their own avatar and moves in a new town filled with animals as neighbors. While they haven’t shared many details about the upcoming mobile game, we’ll keep you updated with more information along the way.
