Sea of Thieves is an upcoming Microsoft exclusive game that will see players take to the high seas and work together to plunder of for gold, endure storms, and fight off other players. The game was originally announced back in 2015 and has been highly anticipated by PC and Xbox gamers. If you’re one such fan then you’ll be interested to learn that a beautiful Sea of Thieves art book has been announced.
As GameSpot reports, set to be published by Dark Horse, The Art of Sea of Thieves will serve as a companion to the main game and give readers a look at the designs of characters, loot, ships, and locations found in the game. The book contains “hundreds” of pieces art, as well as commentary from the developers behind the game.
A release date for the book has not yet been confirmed but a placeholder date of early 2018. Art books such as these usually release alongside their respective game but given that Sea of Thieves doesn’t have a release date yet, it’s hard to say when we’ll see either come out. The game was originally meant to be released this year but, at E3 2017, Microsoft said the game had been pushed back to a 2018 release window. Here’s hoping we get to see both released sooner rather than later.
It has also been announced that the game will support cross-play between the Xbox One and PC versions of the game.
