You won’t have to wait much longer to experience the fantasy with friends as the Final Fantasy XV multiplayer expansion, Comrades, has finally gotten a release date. Comrades will be free to download if you bought both Final Fantasy XV and the season pass, however, you can still buy it separately if you just have the game.

Take note that even if you’ve already downloaded Comrades, you’ll still need a PlayStation Plus or Xbox Live Gold membership to play. In the multiplayer expansion, you play as a survivor from the Kingsglaive who investigates Noctis’ mysterious disappearance after the events of Chapter 13.

Players can equip various royal sigils that will grant them special powers from the Lucian bloodline. Mix and match abilities with your friends to create a balanced team and take on different kinds of missions and challenges. While the centerpiece lies with its multiplayer mode, Comrades will also offer single-player quests that will enhance and strengthen your avatar.
