Today during Gamescom, several new releases were announced, including a brand new game based on the Jurassic World universe. Frontier Developments’ Jurassic World Evolution is coming for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC next summer in 2018.
The game, which is based on the Universal Pictures film franchise looks to expand the film universe even further, letting players create and manage their own visions of Jurassic World. Basically, you’ll get to bring some of those lifelong Jurassic Park dreams to life, so long as there’s enough customization elements involved, at least.
You’ll be exploring the island of Isla Nublar and the surrounding islands of Muertes Archipelago, which sounds pretty ominous as it is without throwing ridiculously dangerous dinosaurs into the fold. While there you’ll be able to build attractions, splice dino DNA for some new breeds, create containment and research facilities, and a ton of other important dinosaur-related business that you’ll have to get used to quick before you find yourself with a park full of deadly dinosaurs. Hey, that’s how the films went.
