Swery65 Will Be Announcing a New Game During PAX West

What's he working on now?

Swery65, the developer behind games like the excellent but truly bizarre Deadly Premonition and D4: Dark Dreams Don’t Die, is working on a brand new game. The director has kept mum about whatever it might be thus far, but we’re about to find out what he’s got up his sleeve. In fact, he’s hosting his own PAX West panel on Saturday, September 2 called “Coffee Time With Swery65,” during which we’ll find out what he’s been hard at work on.

Hidetaka Suehiro, better known as Swery65, will talk about his first new game in the last three years, which is pretty big news when you consider how long it’s been since we got to talk about and appreciate the weirdness and excitement behind Deadly Premonition. During the panel, Swery65 will regale us with tales of the new game and everything he’s got planned, so hopefully that means more than just a name and a general idea of what to expect. Hopefully you also love coffee.

“I will have a cup of coffee at the talk, so please bring your cup of coffee as well,” says Sherry himself. “When you first come up to ask me a question, I’ll ask you about what kind of coffee you like. I don’t care who you are, if you don’t love coffee like I love coffee, I’ll ask you to leave. (Pending policy approval from PAX management).”

It appears the Deadly Premonition director and Twin Peaks’ Special Agent Dale Cooper have more than a few things in common. If you’re in attendance, better make sure you like coffee, or just fake it, so we can learn more about what he’s working on.
