The Final Fantasy XIV player base continues to expand globally, reaching a new milestone of over 10 million cumulative players as of today.
Several robust expansions, including the acclaimed recent release, Stormblood, has seen the game’s community thrive. Stormblood expands in-game content with two new playable jobs, an increased level cap, and an engaging narrative that opens up new areas to explore. Subsequent patches since launch also introduced high-level raids, enhancements to player jobs, and other new features.
Speaking of which, this new milestone coincides with the release of Patch 4.06. The annual Moonfire Faire seasonal event also commences soon, in which players can take part in an all-new series of quests, including facing off against Ultros. Players can obtain event items to ring in the celebrations, including a dyeable Faire version of a popular set of equipment.
If you’re interested in trying Final Fantasy XIV, there is an opportunity to take advantage of an upcoming free trial that allows anyone to access all available content up to level 35. You’ll have the chance to create up to eight playable characters, and experience the different playable races, classes, and jobs with no restrictions on playtime.
