The PS4 Has Now Shipped 63.3 Million Units, Sony’s Revenue Trending Upward

Today, Sony released information about its financial earnings for the quarter, confirming lifetime shipped sales for PS4 at 63.3 million units.

It should be noted that the figure refers to shipped units to retailers, rather than the sold-through-to-consumers figure, which was reported at 60.4 million units prior to E3 2017.

The below graph showcases the shipped PS4 figures in comparison to the same time last year.

The Japanese company also detailed the entirety of its financial results, including figures such as sales revenue, operating income etc. You can check the out the graph below from the full press release, which compares the results from the final quarter of 2016.

As you can see, all the trends are tracking the right way, as Sony continues to make solid increases across the board. Notably, sales and operating revenue increased by 15.2% compared to the same quarter of the previous fiscal year to 1,858.1 billion yen. Operating income also increased from 101.4 billion yen year-on-year to 157.6 billion yen
