The news comes via a tweet from the official Gears of War Twitter account. Unfortunately, it didn’t provide us with any more details aside from the 9am PDT reveal time. However, fans seem to think that the GIF accompanying the tweet could be hinting that the Locust forces from previous Gears of War games could be joining the fray.

For those unaware, Horde mode challenges players to fight their way through wave after wave of AI enemies either on their own or as part of a team. In Gears of War 4, the mode received a number of new features including tough Boss Waves every 10th wave, a class-based system, and a Fabricator that can create all manner of helpful items.

We’ll be covering the contents of this Gears of War 4 Horde update tomorrow as soon as it’s revealed, so be sure to check back with Twinfinite.
