Playing in Training Mode in ARMS

Recommended Videos

If you’re just getting started in ARMS and felt that the tutorial wasn’t quite enough to get you acquainted with the game’s controls, you can practice with various characters in the game’s training mode. This mode might be a little tricky to find, though, as it isn’t immediately available on the main menu as most would probably expect it to be.

To play in training mode, head over to the Versus option on the main menu and select it. Here, you’ll see various gameplay modes that you can participate in, including Skillshot and V-Ball. All the way down at the bottom are the game’s two training modes: one that lets you go over the game’s basic controls, and another one that lets you test your skills with various items and Arms. These will allow you to familiarize yourself with the motion controls, as well as the ins and outs of each character’s unique skills and abilities. You’ll want to spend some time here before you start tangling with other players in the online ranked matches. You can also engage in these modes with up to three other players.
