River City Ransom is a classic series dating all the way back to 1989. One of the latest titles in the series, however, is a big change, transforming Kunio and his friends into knights and wizards. Natsume has announced that River city: Knights of Justice will be heading West this Summer on Nintendo 3DS. The game was originally released in Japan as Nekketsu Mahou Monogatari, on 3DS in April 2014.

Knights of Justice still employs the traditional River City Ransom sidescrolling beat em’ up gameplay, but this time around you’ll be playing as medieval heroes and villains, using swords, staves, magic, and more.

River City: Knights of Justice is scheduled to release this Summer on 3DS via the eShop, although there’s no firm release date as of yet. We’ll make sure to update you once anything more is announced.
