PaRappa The Rapper and Gitaroo Man Creators Announce New Story Driven Rhythm Game

Project Rap Rabbit is officially in the works

The creators of PaRappa the Rapper and Gitaroo Man are joining forces to create a new story driven rhythm game titled Project Rap Rabbit. While there isn’t much information about the new title, which was just announced via Twitter today, it certainly seems like it will be pulling inspiration from both of the beloved rhythm games. Making the game a hiphop driven rhythm game certainly plays on one of PaRappa the Rapper’s strongest features while introducing action elements to the game is certainly pulled from Gitaroo Man.

For now, there isn’t a lot of information about the new title but the idea of seeing PaRappa the Rapper and Gitaroo man brought back to life via a unique collaboration is enough to garner quite a bit of attention. While the Twitter account for Project Rap Rabbit was created back in April, the page shared its very first post today. It also finally received its own official Facebook account along with an official website. Unfortunately, the website isn’t anything more than a showcase for the teaser video at the moment but even that manages to still serve as a reminder of how quirky these creators are. The promotional image has quite a bit going on when you start paying attention the details. Some sort of strange drones are zooming by overhead and there is a poor animal in the background getting abducted by a UFO.

Perhaps our new rabbit hero will utilize some sort of supernatural hiphop driven ability to put an end to an extraterrestrial tirade? Who knows. Either way, we will be keeping an eye out for any new announcements so be sure to check back with Twinfinite for more.
