Super Bomberman R is the first main entry in the series that we’ve seen in over a decade, and it just so happened to launch on Nintendo’s new console, the Switch. The sales numbers for the launch of the game in Japan have released and they are surely positive. The title sold over 39,000 copies in Japan which makes it the biggest launch of the franchise in almost 20 years, only beaten by 1998’s Bomberman World, which sold 76,000 copies in its first week.
