The Far Edge of Fate is the latest content update coming to Final Fantasy XIV in January next year. The new story content in the patch is meant to close out the Heavensward story arc properly, and serve as a lead-in to the Stormblood expansion that’s due for release in the summer.

Patch 3.5 will pick up the story right after the player reunites with Yda and Papalymo once more, and the crew has an encounter with a few new mysterious characters. The patch will also come with a couple of new dungeons and bosses to pit your strength against. Of course, there will also be a few new pieces of gear to collect. As we all know, fashion and glamour are the true endgame, so the new cosmetic inclusions should prove to be of value to certain players. You can check out the new screenshots in the gallery down below.

Final Fantasy XIV is now available on PC and PS4. We’ll keep you updated as more info on the new patch comes our way.
