FIFA 17 Celebrates “FUTmas” With 12 Days of Free Items

FIFA 17 is getting its own “12 Days of Christmas” by giving away free gifts for the game’s Ultimate Team mode, Electronic Arts announced on the EA Sports blog.

Players logging into FIFA Ultimate Team can receive a free gift each day, such as coins, card packs, and other offers each day. A bonus gift can be received by logging into the web and companion apps. The FUTmas promotion began last Friday, Dec. 16, and ends in 12 days.

In addition, FUTmas offers new daily squad building challenges that can reward mystery packs until Dec. 25. Each challenge features players with shirt numbers that match the date, so the squad challenge on Dec. 16 would contain players who wear the number 16.

A special Christmas-themed kit will be given to all players the first time they log in during this period. EA has given away free kits recently for a number of causes, such as supporting LGBT rights with the Stonewall #RainbowLaces campaign and paying respect to Chapecoense players who died in a plane crash.
