The Game Awards presented the award for Best Strategy Game of 2016 to Civilization VI during one of its rapid fire sessions. It won among other nominees like Fire Emblem Fates, The Banner Saga 2, Total War: Warhammer, and XCOM 2. Was a very competitive category this year!
