Modern Warfare Remastered is, as its name suggests, a high-definition port of the original Modern Warfare, and it features better lighting and prettier textures. First off, in order to get MW Remastered, you have to own Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. There’s no way to play the port without owning Infinite Warfare. It’s also important to note that only the Legacy, Legacy Pro, Digital Legacy, and Digital Deluxe editions of the game come will come with MW Remastered. This means that you will not have access to the port if you simply buy the regular version of Infinite Warfare.

For those who got the physical copies of Legacy and Legacy Pro on the PS4, your game should come with a digital code that allows you to redeem and download Modern Warfare Remastered. On the Xbox One, the port is already included on the game disc, and no voucher is required.

For the digital versions of the game on the PS4 and Xbox One, you don’t need a voucher either. Both Infinite Warfare and Modern Warfare Remastered can be downloaded separately.

For the folks playing on Steam, the physical version of the game will come with a Steam key that you have to redeem via the client before you can download it. The digital version will not require a key, and you can download the port and Infinite Warfare separately.
