Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare does not release until this Friday, but information on the game’s official file size for all platforms have been made available ahead of launch. Pre-loading for the game also starts today, Oct. 31, on Xbox One and PlayStation 4. There are no details on the pre-load date for PC.
According to Call of Duty fansite Charlie Intel, the Xbox One version of Infinite Warfare is 52.1 GB of hard drive space, while Modern Warfare Remastered is 45.85 GB. On PlayStation 4, Infinite Warfare is 44.6 GB and Modern Warfare Remastered is 37.2 GB. The exact file size for the PC version is still unknown, but the Steam page lists a minimum 70 GB for Infinite Warfare. Modern Warfare Remastered on PC requires a minimum 55 GB of hard drive space.
The supposed file size for Infinite Warfare leaked earlier this month, when the back of an empty box of the game revealed a required 130 GB of hard drive space. Activision explained in the game’s official FAQ that the size was an estimate meant to include “both games, any Day 1 updates, as well as the additional Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered multiplayer maps to be released before Dec. 31, 2016.”
Modern Warfare Remastered is only available with the Legacy, Digital Legacy, Digital Deluxe, and Legacy Pro editions of Infinite Warfare. PlayStation 4 players who have pre-ordered any of those editions already has access to the game’s campaign for 30 days before launch, but multiplayer is locked until the game’s release date at midnight ET on Nov. 4.
