PlayStation 4 Pro owners won’t be the only console players to get a little extra out of Final Fantasy XV when it releases next month. Microsoft’s Phil Spencer has announced that Square Enix’s long-in-development RPG will support high dynamic range (HDR) on the Xbox One S.
“.@FinalFantasy XV is confirmed to support HDR on #XboxOneS at launch,” Spencer, the head of all things Xbox, tweeted last night. “Can’t wait to play on 11/29.”
Final Fantasy XV, which began development an astonishing 10 years ago when it was a PlayStation 3 exclusive called Final Fantasy Versus XIII, is set to release on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on November 29 after its most recent delay. The game was previously announced to support HDR on the PlayStation 4 Pro.
The Xbox One S went on sale back in August and starts at $300, while the PlayStation 4 Pro launches on November 10 for $400.
