Dark Souls III’s DLC Trailer Shows Why Snowy Forests are Evil

NATURE IS BAD.

Today, Bandai Namco revealed the gameplay trailer for Dark Souls III’s upcoming DLC, Ashes of Ariandel. Nothing is ever truly safe in the Souls games, and now that extends to snowy forests, as enemies will be sure to gank you by surprise thanks to the weather.

Ashen Ones will be traveling to this new environment to deal with an “evil force” that’s plaguing the lands. You know, just the usual Souls business. Along with the new environments, you can expect new weapons, armor, and magic to show up this time around. For Souls veterans, there’ll be new PvP features. Oh, there’s also some pesky wolves and a Lordvessel that holds lava, which is kinda bad.

Dark Souls III: Ashes of Ariandel will arrive on the Xbox One, PS4, and PC on Oct. 25. It’ll be the first of two additions to the “final chapter” of the Souls franchise…at least for now.
