Battlefield Hardline may not have been quite the success EA was hoping for it to be, but it’s still a very solid game which is a lot of fun if you team up with some pals. In order to help pave the road towards the release of Battlefield 1, EA is giving away the Battlefield Hardline Criminal Activity DLC for free as part of the Road to Battlefield 1 promotion.
As Lazy Gamer reports, the DLC is available for free right now for Xbox One players and PlayStation 4 and PC players will get it soon. The expansion includes four new multiplayer maps, a new game mode called Bounty Hunter, and plenty of new weapons and gadgets.
Hardline is unique to most of the previous games as it is set not in a war zone, but in the streets of Miami where players fight a war against crime in cops and robbers style gameplay. The game received mixed reviews upon release but was praised for its stealth gameplay, action set pieces, and voice acting.
As we get closer and closer to the release of Battlefield 1, we can only assume more treats will come our way. Probably best to dig out your old copies of Hardline.
