GDC 2016 Marks First Female Unity Certified Developer

With all the controversy coming out of GDC 2016, a major milestone was overlooked: Katherine Harris became the world’s first female Unity certified developer. However, she had more than a few people on Twitter to commemorate the occasion with:

Harris, who is also a Microsoft technical evangelist and writer, runs a blog titled Kaharri devoted, in Harris’ words, to “sharing my knowledge and talking about whatever I think is super fun.” The first article you see at the time of this writing is, unsurprisingly, about Unity Gaming, though she’s also written about Windows 10, Oculus Rift, and has more than a few informative videos:

Although this is quite an achievement—you can see the daunting list of objectives required to get the certificate here—Harris took the news in stride. Rather than bask in the well-deserved attention, she took the opportunity to reach out to others who might be interested in Unity certification:
