Today, NIS America announced that the visual novel by Mages. and 5pb, Psycho-Pass: Mandatory Happiness would be coming to Europe and North America on PlayStation 4 and Sony’s handheld console, PlayStation Vita.
Strangely enough, it looks like the game that was initially released in Japan in 2015 exclusively for Xbox One isn’t making the jump across the pond to Microsoft’s home console. Instead, Psycho-Pass: Mandatory Happiness will only be available on Sony’s consoles in the west. No reason for the sudden change of console has been given by NIS America.
The trailer, included below, also shows the Steam trademark logo, but the press release that accompanied this trailer for the western announcement does not make any mention of the game hitting the popular PC game’s platform.

The game will take place during the time-span of the first season of Psycho-Pass and is set to add backstory and world building to the popular anime series. It will also give fans of the anime in-depth storylines for some newly introduced characters to the series. During the game, the player will be faced with a number of decisions that will have an effect on the outcome of the game and inevitable decide which ending you will get.
