FFXIV Ravana Mount

Hot Damn, These New FFXIV Primal Mounts Are Awesome-Looking

Bird's the word.

Bird is the word at the Final Fantasy XIV Developer’s Blog. Newly revealed today are screenshots of the upcoming mounts that will drop from Ravana Extreme and Bismarck Extreme after the release of he upcoming patch, 3.2, The Gears of Change. Of course, since this is Heavensward, they are flying mounts, and unlike the unicorns in A Realm Reborn, these are big birds! Here, check out the reveal of the mounts plus the new pictures below via the FFXIV Developer’s Blog:

“Camate here with limit breaking ornithological news!

A little bird told me that new extreme primal mounts will be soaring into Eorzea in Patch 3.2.

Finally, the dream of riding on a majestic creature of the avian variety is about to come true! (The new mounts are birds, if you haven’t picked up on that yet.)

With everyone hard at work finishing up the patch, I didn’t want to ruffle any feathers, but I managed to snag a few quick shots of the mounts you can get.”

Holy crap, awesome! And what’s even more exciting is that these won’t be the only two new primal mounts that will be added. According to the same FFXIV blog post, there will be flying bird mounts for Thordan and Sephirot as well, although it’s not completely clear in the post whether or not those two will be added in patch 3.2 The Gears of Change. They might, but let’s not get too excited until we’re sure.

Well, if you’re like me and have been putting off your extreme primal clears in FFXIV: Heavensward, it’s time to get cracking because these mounts look SWEET.

FFXIV’s upcoming patch (3.2), The Gears of Change, will be coming on Feb. 23.
