It’s been known since June 2015 that the team behind Assetto Corsa were working on a version to release on Xbox One and PlayStation 4, although they only went as far as saying it would be released in 2016.

The short announcement trailer, which you can watch below, showcases an impressive car that will probably be used on the box art. The Ferrari FXX-K is a rear-wheel drive race car that has been in production since 2015. Sporting the famous red of Ferrari, you can see the visual quality of the car in the game.

Assetto Corsa originally release on Steam in November 2013 through Early Access, and was officially finished just over a year later. The game is in the same category of racing games as Project Cars, focusing on realistic handling, great cars, and famous race tracks that are scanned by lasers to be as close as possible to the real location.
