PlayStation kicked off their keynote with some big info this year at the PlayStation experience. After opening with Uncharted 4 and the Final Fantasy VII Remake, Randy Pitchford from Gearbox Software came on to give us a few more details on Battleborn.
After talking about the upcoming beta that will be on PlayStation 4, Pitchford introduced us to the newest character to join Battleborn’s list of 25 characters. His name is Toby, and that’s right he’s a Penguin, in a mech suit. Toby won’t be playable for most until the game launches next year, but anyone who plays the beta on PlayStation 4 will have a chance to try out Toby and his mech. Take a look at the new trailer for Toby and Battleborn down below.
Battleborn also features a campaign mode playable in single-player and co-op, and Pitchford announced that the game would also feature split-screen couch co-op.
PlayStation players will have access to the open beta for Battleborn before anyone else, with more details coming soon. In addition there’s a surprise for PlayStation owners. An additional character will be released exclusively on PlayStation 4, rounding the roster out to 26 on the console. No details were given on the PlayStation exclusive character yet.
Battleborn was recently delayed to May 3, 2016 and will release for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. What do you think about the new character announced at PlayStation experience? Are you excited for the exclusive content Battleborn will be receiving on PlayStation 4? Let us know down in the comments.
