Firewatch Gets an Official Release Date on PS4 and PC

Fire, fire!

We first got a good look at Firewatch earlier this year at E3. The game puts players in the first person perspective of a volunteer fire lookout officer in the aftermath of the Yellowstone fires of 1988.

Players will explore the forest to uncover clues about mysterious occurrences that have been happening nearby. The only other person players can interact with is the supervisor, Delilah, who players can talk to via walkie-talkie and can choose how they respond. How players respond will shape and change their relationship with Delilah.

The game looks very interesting and now the developer, Campp Santo, has announced a release date. Your Firewatch will begin on February 9, 2016 on the PlayStation 4 and PC.

The news was first announced on Camp Santo’s website and from now until the release date, all efforts are being put in to the finishing touches. It may still be a few months away, but worry not, lots of new information will be released in the run up to the event.
