Deus Ex: Mankind Divided Gets Delayed

We....kinda asked for this? Maybe?

If you were hoping to play Deus Ex: Mankind Divided next February on your Xbox One, PC, or PS4, you’re going to be disappointed. Today, Square Enix has announced on the game’s website that the next chapter in Adam Jensen’s story will have a new release date of August 23, 2016. The post comes personally written by Eidos Montreal’s studio head David Anfossi:

“We’re confident and proud of the game so far. However, as we are now playing through the game in full, we can see that it will require more time in post-production for tuning, iterations and refinement to meet our high standards.”

While it’s disappointing that we won’t be getting Deus Ex until next summer, it’s ultimately for the best. February was already looking crazy crowded as is, what with Far Cry Primal, Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 2, and others demanding attention all on the same day. It gives Square and Eidos plenty of time to make the game great and wrap up the summer season with a bang.

How do you feel about Deus Ex’s delay? Let us know in the comments below.
