Ludus Merge Arena Tier List – V1.15 (November 2024)

Let's fix your deck.

I love games where PvP is the main mode and there is a lot of strategy involved. However, working out which units are best on my own takes quite a bit of time. If you’re in the same kind of predicament and just want a quick rundown of the best heroes, our Ludus Merge Arena tier list is everything you’ll ever need.

Ludus Merge Arena Non-Legendary Tier List

S Tier Merge Arena Non-Legendaries

  • Bastion — Bastion is one of the very few non-legendary units that are worth using over some legendaries. He can tank a lot and taunt enemies, preventing them from attacking others and casting abilities. He is just OP for the early game.
  • Electric Mage — Electric Mage is the best non-legendary DPS in the game. Plus, he has an ability boost that allows him to stun enemies. Use him until you get a legendary DPS.
  • Genie — Without a doubt, Genie is the best non-legendary support in Merge Arena. He heals and restores energy for your allies, and he has by far the best buff pattern of all epic units. He is even worth using over most legendaries.
  • Minotaur — Minotaur has the best buff pattern of all rare units, and his stun is just invaluable. You simply must use him to be competitive early on.
  • Warlock — Warlock can fear two enemies, preventing them from doing anything for two seconds. Plus, he gains energy with every killed ally, making him a great teammate for Slime. His buff pattern is also good.
  • Vampire — Vampire can teleport to the enemy backline and single-handedly win rounds. Plus, he regens a lot, allowing him to potentially execute multiple people.

A Tier Merge Arena Non-Legendaries

  • Franken — Franken is a jack of all trades who can poison enemies, deal solid damage, tank, and even heal himself. Plus, his buff pattern is really nice.
  • Jester — Jester can taunt enemies, which is really important, and deal solid damage. However, Bastion is much better than her.
  • Slime — Right after Minotaur, Slime is the best rare unit in Merge Arena. His spawns are excellent at tanking enemy attacks, especially Electric Mage’s, and his DPS is solid, too.
  • Totem — Totem increases your other unit’s damage, which is especially powerful if they have a high attack speed. Plus, its buff pattern is the 2nd most efficient of all rare units.
  • Crusader — Crusader is a really solid tank, but he is just straight-up worse than Bastion because he lacks the taunt.
  • Trickster — Trickster’s buff patter is really good, and he can tank a lot. Plus, he can stop enemy unit’s regeneration and drain their energy.
  • Gorgon — She can CC enemies for a long time. However, she can be easily one-shot, and her buff pattern isn’t that good.

B Tier Merge Arena Non-Legendaries

  • Crystallix — Crystallix can stun enemies, which is useful. However, he isn’t as good of a tank as Minotaur.
  • Samurai — Samurai is a solid DPS/self-regen unit you’ll have available early on. However, Vampire is simply better. Plus, you unlock him much sooner.
  • Executioner — His fear can clutch rounds, and his damage is really high. However, there is little point in using him over Electric Mage or Warlock.
  • Shaman — He can tank, heal allies, and has a solid buff pattern. However, he doesn’t excel at either of those things.
  • Huntress — Huntress is one of my favorite uncommon units, as she has solid DPS and a very good buff pattern. Plus, she can stun enemies, potentially interrupting them in crucial moments.
  • Fairy — Together with the Totem, Fairy is the best support unit you’ll have available early on. Her heals can make your team invulnerable, especially if you can super merge two in the same game.
  • Arachne — Arachne can poison enemies in a large area, slow them down, and reduce their damage output by 30%, which can prolong fights and make your healers even more valuable.
  • Saboteur — Saboteur has an excellent buff pattern and the highest damage ability of all uncommon units. Also, he is better than Huntress in most cases.

C Tier Merge Arena Non-Legendaries

  • Axe Thrower — His ability has low damage, and if you’re against units like Slime, who can spam minions, Axe Thrower can potentially waste it on them. Just avoid using him like the Vikings.
  • Viking — Viking is probably the worst unit in the game. His buff pattern is bad, and the 30% damage amp he casts is borderline useless.
  • Plague Doctor — Even though he can deal solid damage, using him over other DPSs who can provide better all-around utility is suboptimal.
  • Canoneer — Cannoneer’s strongest points are the AoE attack and high base damage. Still, most rare units out damage him if enemies are spread out.

Ludus Merge Arena Legendary Tier List

S Tier Merge Arena Legendaries

  • Draco — Draco is the king of AoE damage. He can deal with enemy minions quite efficiently, allowing your single-target DPSs to focus on truly important targets.
  • Duckwing — Duckwing is simply broken. It possibly has the highest effective DPS in the game, and its ability targets up to 10 enemies, which is necessary against minion-spamming units like Muerta.
  • Kitsune — Kitsune has been meta for a long time now. She can drain enemy energy, silence their regeneration, and deal massive close-range damage. She even reduces their damage dealt.
  • Griffon — Griffon is the best assassin in Merge Arena. He deals massive damage with his ability, and he stuns enemies, too. Plus, he reduces the damage of nearby enemies by 60% and is immune to CC, which is massive.
  • Muerta — Muerta has a beautiful buff pattern and the best summons in Merge Arena right now. She is present on virtually every top player’s squad.
  • Firestarter — Firestarter has amazing single-target DPS and sustain. Supermerging a couple in a tournament makes you virtually unbeatable.
  • Witch — Witch’s ability turns enemies into helpless toads and weakens them, allowing your DPSs to take them down quicker. Consider her a much better version of Evil Eye.
  • Pirate Queen — Pirate Queen has damage, CC, and summons. Plus, she has the best buff patter in Ludus Merge Arena. She is simply OP and probably the best hero right now.

A Tier Merge Arena Legendaries

  • Aqua — Aqua can work as a support, though you’ll need to be really efficient with her placement. Use her together with fast-attacking units like the Firestarter.
  • Nightmare — Nightmare is a solid assassin with a similar buff pattern to Kitsune. The fact that he can fear multiple backline enemies is just amazing.
  • Jelly Knight — Jelly Knight is a tiny bit worse version of Muerta. He has more sustain but less DPS. However, he relies on his minions to survive enemy AoE.
  • Tech Golem — Tech Golem has one of the most efficient buff patterns in the game and is one of the best anti-melee characters you can get. Plus, you can get him fairly early into the game. However, the meta right now is playing with no tank, and that’s why I can’t put him in the S tier.
  • Lava Girl — Lava Girl works really well with Draco because they can both burn enemies. She is one of the best single-target DPSs right now.
  • Mako — Mako has to be one of my favorite characters. He can pull enemies into melee, stunning them, and then devour them with his massive AoE attack. He is one of the best counters for melee heroes and minions.
  • Monkey King — He is immune to control effects, which is really strong now that so many people are running Kitsune. Plus, he can reach the enemy backline and stun them.
  • Brewmaster — Brewmaster is really OP, especially against attack-relying comps with heroes such as Firestarter, Duckwing, and Griffon, which are all meta right now. Plus, his DPS and buff pattern are both really good.
  • Pop Star — Pop Star’s ability can turn a losing round into a winning one. However, she isn’t reliable enough to be really meta.
  • Evil Eye — Evil Eye’s buff pattern is solid, and it has an attack that can pierce and possibly destroy multiple enemies. However, if it uses fear on an irrelevant enemy, it’s basically useless.

B Tier Merge Arena Legendaries

  • Gambler — Gambler has a mediocre buff pattern, and its ability can be counterproductive in some fights. However, he has one of the best perks in Merge Arena.
  • Angel — Angel is really good for the early game. His buff pattern is also nice. However, when the damage gets really high, his heal becomes irrelevant.
  • Boaris — Boaris can get you money and shove enemies out of melee. However, you’ll rarely see him in the strongest decks.
  • Succubus — Succubus’s charm is one of the best debuffs in Merge Arena. It can often turn the tide of the fight. Plus, her buff pattern is nice.
  • Treant — Treant is a solid frontline that can stun enemies for several seconds. His buff pattern is also nice. However, Tech Golem is a slightly better tank option right now.
  • Imp — Imp can not only make mage enemy support units useless but also ability buffs. Plus, he increases their damage taken, allowing other DPSs to burst them.
  • Fencer — Fencer is an okayish assassin, but the fact that he doesn’t focus on a single enemy is just sad. Also, his buff pattern is awesome.
  • Gunslinger — Gunslinger is really only good for the early/mid-game. You will rarely see him in top decks, as stuns and other CC disable his DPS completely.
  • Lich — Lich is one of the better DPSs in Merge Arena. However, with so many other great options, he doesn’t get much play.
  • Gearhead — Gearhead has a really nice buff pattern and can serve as a hybrid tank. However, there are better things you can use, like Tech Golem or no tank at all.
  • Mummy Warrior — Mummy Warrior is a summoner you can use as an alternative to Muerta. However, his summons are weaker and less numerous.

C Tier Merge Arena Legendaries

  • Valkyrie — Valkyrie can be really clutch, but her ability is RNG. If it goes onto your tank, it’s useless, and if it goes to Duckwing, then it’s one of the best buffs in the Merge Arena.
  • Gunflower — Gunflower has a terrible buff pattern, though it compensates with its solid DPS. Plus, it can stun enemies that are slowed by its vines.
  • Rocky — Rocky can work great in teams that can reliably shock enemies. Her buff patter is nice, too. She is solid all around if you know how to place her properly.
  • Snoozemander — His buff pattern is awesome. However, his skill can be utterly useless if you have backline-focusing units.
  • Mimic — Mimic can somewhat counter melee DPSs like Kitsune. However, he is simply too weak damage-wise.
  • Paladin — His buff pattern is somewhat okay. Consider him a slightly better version of Minotaur.
  • Little Red Cap — Little Red Cap’s Wolf is one of the best summons in the game. However, she can only spawn one per round, making her suboptimal compared to Muerta or the Jelly Knight.

D Tier Merge Arena Legendaries

  • Druid — Druid is one of the weakest legendary supports. However, he deals poison, which might be useful in specific DoT-focused decks.
  • Buddy — Buddy is great as a single-target DPS. However, minions are mandatory in every team, and he is useless against them.
  • Mr. Gray — If heals were meta, Mr. Gray would be, too. However, that isn’t the case right now.
  • Witch Doctor — Witch Doctor is one of the worst summoners in Merge Arena. Plus, his buff pattern is atrocious. I can’t see him being viable right now.

Anyway, that concludes our Ludus Merge Arena tier list. Making your deck as best as it can be should be a lot easier now that you know which of the heroes you have are good and which are not.
