The Nature & Nurture quest of Disney Dreamlight Valley will be unlocked when you open Sunlit Plateau and finish ‘The Curse’ storyline at Glade of Trust. However, before we begin our step-by-step guide, players should first make a few meals to place in their inventory because several activities will drain their Energy levels.

  1. Investigate the Giant Skull in Sunlit Plateau’s Elephant Graveyard.

There will be an entryway in the skull, which will take you to Scar.Beginning the Scar quest

  2. Talk to Scar and enter the Vitalys Mines.

Players can find the doorway to Vitalys Mines near Goofy’s Stall in Sunlit Plateau. Entering the Vitalys Mines in Disney Dreamlight Valley

  3. Explore the mines and look for the river blockage.

When you first enter the Vitalys Mines in Disney Dreamlight Valley, you can search for a tunnel on the left-hand side. During this time, players can mine stones and clear Night Thorns to make their way to the next area.Looking for the blockage in Nature & Nurture

  4. Travel up to the location with Night Thorns.

After players have explored the tunnel and traveled to the other side in the Nature & Nurture quest, they must go up to the location with large Night Thorns.Locating the river blockage in Disney Dreamlight Valley

  5. Read the sign next to the barrel.

  6. Speak to Merlin.

  7. Prepare the Extra Fizzy Root Beer recipe.

If you need help with this particular meal of Disney Dreamlight Valley, you can check out our guide about how to make the Extra Fizzy Beer dish.

  8. Go back to Vitalys Mines to place the Extra Fizzy Root Beer and Crackling Candy in the barrel.

Once players create the dish in the Nature & Nurture quest, they’ll need to return to the same area with the large Night Thorns. You’ll also find the Crackling Candy in your inventory (this will be given to you), so you don’t need to worry about getting this item.Helping Scar in the Nature & Nurture quest

  9. Exit the Vitalys Mines.

  10. Enter the Dark Portal in Sunlit Plateau.

  11. Clear out the blockage with your Pickaxe and pick up the Lifeless Orb of Nurturing.

  12. Return to Dreamlight Valley and talk to Merlin.

Once you’ve completed these steps in the Nature & Nurture quest, you must gather materials for the Miracle Growth Elixir, which includes these items:

  • 10 Vitalys Crystal: Found in the Vitalys Mines.
  • 10 Rich Soil: Harvest crops.
  • 1,000 Dreamlight: Complete Dreamlight Duties or make them at the Crafting Table.

The required amount of Vitalys Crystals and Dreamlight should be straightforward to get, but obtaining the Rich Soil may be tricky. Therefore, the best way to get the item is by harvesting Wheat, the fastest-growing ingredient of Disney Dreamlight Valley (be sure to water the plant after placing it down.)

When players acquire the Miracle Growth Elixir, they must select ‘Use’ on the item within their inventory, as shown here:

In return, you’ll receive an upgrade for the Watering Can, accelerating the harvesting process tremendously. Then, when players speak to Merlin, they’ll be able to plant the Orb of Nurturing right next to the Pillar in Sunlit Plateau (at the end of the river.)

After you plant the Orb of Nurturing, you must water it for three days (in real-time) to complete the Nature & Nurture quest. Unfortunately, the fast-forwarding time mechanic in Disney Dreamlight Valley has been known to cause glitches in the game, so it’s better to wait it out.

When the Orb of Nurturing is ready to harvest, a cutscene will play out, where players will see the cleansing of the dark river in Sunlit Plateau. But, if you want to fully restore this part of the realm, you must help Scar get rid of the bones barriers by advancing further in his friendship level. As a result, players will receive an upgrade to their Shovel and gain Lion King-themed items.
