A new set of Fortnitemares quests have arrived in the game following the release of the 22.20 update. One of the quests requires you to hit an opponent while Wolfscent is active. Since it’s a new Fortnite feature, many players are having a hard time completing this mission. With that said, we’ll show you how to hit an opponent while Wolfscent is active in Fortnite.

How To Hit an Opponent While Wolfscent Is Active in Fortnite

The first step to complete this task is obtaining a pair of Howler Claws. If you weren’t aware, it’s a special item exclusively available during the Fortnitemares 2022 event. To get Howler Claws, you need to dance and emote on an Alteration Alter, which can be found across multiple locations on the island. However, we recommend dropping at Reality Trees as this POI always has an Alteration Alter.

Once you stand on it, an option to perform the Ritual Emote will appear on the screen. Simply press the interaction button right after it to perform the emote. Once the emote is complete, you’ll receive the Howler Claws and special abilities.

Once you’ve Howler Claws equipped, wait until the Wolfscent Ability is ultimately charged up. You can check the meter on the left side to see how much charge is left. After the Wolfscent Ability is charged, go near an opponent and hit the button shown on the left side of the screen to activate the ability. Finally, beat an opponent while Wolfscent is active to complete the challenge.

Howler Claws Abilities Explained

• Wolfscent Ability: The Wolfscent Ability gives you tracking vision, repeatedly putting a mark on enemies in a nearby radius. If no enemies are in the radius, the Wolfscent Ability will immediately enter the cooldown.
• Slash Ability: With the Slash Ability, players can show no restraint and perform a four-combo melee attack.
• Air Slash Ability: With the Air Slash Ability, one can perform a double jump that damages opponents upon landing.
