Best Marvel Snap Decks for Bar Sinister

The Bar Sinister location has a pretty unique effect. Whenever you play a card in that location, you’ll fill that entire location with copies of the card you just played. This means that your On Reveal effects will essentially trigger four times, and your Ongoing effects will be quadrupled.

We’ve picked out a few decks in Marvel Snap that will synergize well with Bar Sinister, as listed below:

  • Nightcrawler + Blue Marvel Kazoo Combo
  • Electro Destroyer
  • Discard
  • Disruption

Nightcrawler + Blue Marvel

For all the Pool 1 and 2 folks out there, Kazoo still holds up pretty well with Bar Sinister. Your key cards here are Nightcrawler and Blue Marvel, which will help you manipulate the Bar Sinister location and prevent opponents from sending Green Goblins your way.

  • Ant-Man
  • Elektra
  • Agent 13
  • Iceman
  • Korg
  • Nightcrawler
  • Angela
  • Bishop
  • Kazar
  • Iron Man
  • Blue Marvel
  • Onslaught

The ideal play line here is to put Nightcrawler into Bar Sinister to fill it up, then play the rest of your deck in the other two locations as per usual. However, remember to leave four spaces free for your Nightcrawlers.

By turn five, move one Nightcrawler out and play Blue Marvel in Bar Sinister. And on turn six, move out the rest of your Nightcrawlers and play either Kazar or Onslaught to fill up that entire location for a massive power boost across the board.

Electro Destroyer

If you’re already in Pool 3, Electro Destroyer decks tend to fare pretty well with Bar Sinister as well. The idea here is to fill Bar Sinister with Electro, allowing you to play Destroyer as early as turn four, and you’ll get four extra energy each turn after that with no play limits.

  • Sunspot
  • Adam Warlock
  • Armor
  • Electro
  • Cosmo
  • Enchantress
  • Devil Dinosaur
  • Professor X
  • Arnim Zola
  • Leader
  • Destroyer
  • Infinaut

Make good use of that extra energy each turn to throw out big minions like Giganto, Magneto, Death, Hulk, or Infinaut and profit.

Discard

The discard archetype has languished a little in Marvel Snap ever since the Hell Cow nerf, but it’s actually sneakily good with Bar Sinister and your opponents likely won’t see it coming as it isn’t very prevalent in the meta.

  • Blade
  • Morbius
  • Swarm
  • Colleen Wing
  • Gambit
  • Lockjaw
  • Moon Knight
  • Lady Sif
  • Dracula
  • Hell Cow
  • Hela
  • Apocalypse

There are plenty of good Bar Sinister targets here such as Gambit, Moon Knight, Dracula, and Morbius. Any of these cards will work well in that location, allowing you to destroy your opponent’s entire board with Gambit, or their entire hand with Moon Knight. Dracula and Morbius will ensure that you have a huge power presence in Bar Sinister by the end of the game, though you need to make sure to lock down your other lane as well.

Lady Sif is also a decent option in Bar Sinister, allowing you to repeatedly discard Apocalypse while buffing up Morbius if you already have him on the board.

Disruption

Finally, disruption decks always work well with crazy locations like these, and Bar Sinister is no exception. There’s always a bit of risk involved, but if you snap early and catch your opponent off-guard, you can force a lot of retreats.

  • The Hood
  • Black Widow
  • Hazmat
  • Carnage
  • Colossus
  • Viper
  • Green Goblin
  • Debrii
  • Rock Slide
  • Hobgoblin
  • Blue Marvel
  • Leader

Green Goblin will win Bar Sinister instantly on turn three, assuming that your opponent hasn’t played anything there. Black Widow will fire off four Widow’s Bites into your opponent’s hand, preventing them from drawing any cards until they get rid of the Bites, which can be extremely nasty. Of course, playing Black Widow there likely means that you lose Bar Sinister, but it comes with the upside of forcing your opponent to either sacrifice four other board spaces, or not draw any cards at all for the rest of the game.

Finally, Debrii is also a possible play for Bar Sinister as this will completely lock up the entire board. Just make sure you’ve put down more power than your opponent in at least one other lane before turn three.

That does it for our picks for the best Marvel Snap decks for Bar Sinister. Be sure to search for Twinfinite for more tips and information on the game.
