What Is the Crow’s Real Name in Destiny 2?

The Crow’s actual name in Destiny 2 is Uldren Sov. That’s right, he’s none other than the former advisor, enforcer, spymaster, and brother to the Queen of the Reef, Mara Sov. In that former life, he is best known for stealing the Ace of Spades and using it to kill Cayde-6.

Doing this made him one of the most hated characters in the entire Destiny 2 community, as Cayde-6 is seen as arguably the most popular character in the series. So how exactly did the most hated man in the franchise become one of its new fan-favorites, the Crow?

After being killed by the Guardian at the end of Destiny 2: Forsaken, Uldren Sov is revived by a Ghost known as Pulled Pork, becoming a Guardian himself, known as the Crow. Having lost his memory, the Crow eventually works with the same Guardian (your protagonist) that killed him in order to kill the High Celebrant.

When the Guardian succeeds, he’s granted a prize from the Spider’s lair, where the Crow lies captured. The Guardian chooses the Crow, later proclaiming that fellow Guardians must protect one another.

In Season of the Chosen, The Crow’s true identity is revealed to Zavala after the mask that Osiris had given him broke off. The Awoken Titan decides to keep his secret safe, sending him on out on recon to keep his identity safe.

While the Crow doesn’t remember too much of his past life, he’s still affected by it. Not only does he wear a helmet to keep other Guardians from remembering his life as Uldren Sov, but he’s also deeply affected by interacting with Savathûn, as the trauma he experienced via her causes him to ask to be reassigned far away.

That is everything you need to know about who the Crow is in Destiny 2. For more on the game, including info on the upcoming Lightfall DLC, be sure to search Twinfinite.
