How to Get Sweet Sorrow in Destiny 2

There are a few ways to earn a copy of Sweet Sorrow, but we’ll go over the most efficient way to do so for now.

How to get Sweet Sorrow in Destiny 2

  1. Go to the Helm and claim the Synaptic Spear from the War Table.

Start out by going to the Helm. Upon loading in, just go straight ahead to the War Table. When you select it, you can then claim the Synaptic Spear. This is the tool you will need to earn Risen Umbral Energy, which we’ll discuss in a bit.

  2. Play PsiOps Battleground

After claiming the Synaptic Spear, go into your map and select the arena mode, PsiOps Battleground. This is the activity from which you will earn Risen Umbral Energy. (Note: You also have a small chance to earn a Sweet Sorrow upon completion of the mode as well.)

  3. Use your Risen Umbral Energy to obtain Sweet Sorrow

After obtaining enough Energy, head back to the War Table at the Helm. After collecting at least nine Risen Umbral Energy, you can then buy your very own copy of Sweet Sorrow.

Sweet Sorrow God Roll

There are a few noteworthy combos of perks that can make Sweet Sorrow into a top-tier weapon. But of course, every gun must have the best roll. According to Light.gg, the highest rated pair of perks considered the “God Roll” for the firearm is One for all and Stats for all. This combo allows the weapon to have increased damage, reload speed, handling, stability, and range for a particular duration after hitting at least three separate targets.

With the latest edition of the Arc 3.0 update, Sweet Sorrow is a perfect choice for any Arc subclass build to work with, as it will provide excellent mob control while synching with your new abilities.

Can You Craft Sweet Sorrow?

Yes! Sweet Sorrow was actually one of the first weapons introduced as part of the crafting system that was brought with the Witch Queen DLC. In order to craft the weapon, you must first obtain five deepsight versions of it. These are the versions of the gun with the red border around it, as shown in the above image. To obtain this unique version of the weapon, you can either get one randomly at the end of a PsiOps run, or once per week from the War Table by spending your Risen Umbral Energy. Once you collect a deepsight of it, you can then delete the weapon to extract its pattern. After you collect all five patterns needed, you may then go to the Enclave on Mars to then craft your very own roll of Sweet Sorrow.
