Like most JPRGs, Monolith Soft’s Xenoblade Chronicles 3 has combat as a core part of the experience, and defeating all sorts of enemies will require your party to be effective at what they do. Part of that is learning how to use Chain Attacks, a returning battle mechanic for the series. If you are unsure of how to perform a Chain Attack in Xenoblade Chronicles 3, fret not, we are here for you.
Performing a Chain Attack in Xenoblade Chronicles 3
Similar to the move in the past games of the series, you can perform a Chain Attack in Xenoblade Chronicles 3 by simply pressing the + button when the Chain Attack meter is full. This will initiate the sequence in which attacks can be selected to help accumulate Tactical Points (TP).
If TP exceeds 100%, a powerful Chain Art will be performed and deal immense damage to your enemies, which will easily lead to Overkill and bring you additional rewards. That can also occur even without the Chain Art being activated.
How to Fill the Chain Attack Meter in Xenoblade Chronicles 3
Before you can unleash a Chain Attack, players will have to fill up a meter first. This is achieved by performing Combos, Cancel Attacks, or the general functions of a character’s Role. Once you have filled the meter, then it is time to bring the hurt to all who stand against you.
That’s everything you will need to know about how to perform a Chain Attack in Xenoblade Chronicles 3.
