Howard has confirmed that work on Starfield began in 2015. That game is scheduled to launch in the first half of 2023. In other words, from pre-production to its full-fledged release, Starfield will have taken the studio just under eight years to complete.
Speculative Release Date for Fallout 5
If we were to assume that pre-production on Elder Scrolls 6 began in 2018 (the year it was announced), a possible 2026 release is plausible. As a result, if Elder Scrolls 6 indeed releases in 2026, pre-production will likely begin on Fallout 5 a few years prior, which will mean that Fallout 5 could be coming somewhere after 2030 and beyond.
