Can You Breed Pokemon in Pokemon Legends Arceus?

The short answer is, no, you cannot breed Pokemon in this game as there’s no daycare or nursery to speak of like in other entries in the series. It makes sense from a story perspective as well, since humans are still getting to know Pokemon and trying to study them, so the practice of breeding Pokemon isn’t exactly commonplace just yet.

This means that if you were hoping to breed Pokemon to try to get your desired natures or EVs, or if you’re just hoping to get a shiny variant through breeding, you’re out of luck. The only way to do so is simply by catching multiples of the Pokemon you want, or getting them through a trade.

  1. First off, you can try to farm Pokemon with your desired nature simply by catching them.

Load into a zone where the Pokemon can be found, and pack lots of Poke Balls with you to catch them.

  2. Alternatively, if you have a friend or know an online player who’s willing to trade you a Pokemon with the stats and nature you want, use the trading system instead.

Speak with the trading post NPC in Jubilife Village and choose the Trade option, then enter an eight digit link code and share it with your friend to start the trade. You can also trade locally if your friend is physically near you.pokemon legends arceus breed

  3. If you’re hoping to get a shiny Pokemon, your best bet is to use the Shiny Charm.

We have a full guide here detailing how to get the Shiny Charm, but essentially, you just need to hit research level 10 for all Pokemon in the Pokedex, then speak with Laventon to get it. This will increase your odds of encountering a shiny Pokemon in the wild.

That’s all you need to know about the topic of breeding Pokemon in Pokemon Legends Arceus. Be sure to check our guide wiki for more tips and information on the game.
