Annapurna’s A Memoir Blue Explores the Emotional Bond Between a Mother & Daughter

Developed by Cloisters Interactive and published by Annapurna, A Memoir Blue is a beautiful and somber looking game that’s set to release in March. The publisher has just put out a new release date trailer showing off the main characters, and give us an idea as to what the art and graphical styles will look like.

Here’s a brief synopsis of the game:

“A Memoir Blue follows the journey of a young athlete named Miriam as she swims into the depths of her memories to reconnect with her mother. A unique aesthetic combining hand-drawn and 3D art brings Miriam’s magical-realist journey to life, and a series of gameplay vignettes blends sacrifice and heartbreak with victory and pride as she reconnects with her inner child and deepens the love she shares with her mother.”

It looks like the story itself will play out through several vignettes going over the daughter’s memory of her mother, though it’s not too clear exactly what the gameplay will entail.

A Memoir Blue is set to be released for PC and consoles on March 24.
