This Chocolate Shop in Japan Is Selling Pokemon Themed Sweets

Pokemon fans in Toyko won’t have to wait until Valentine’s Day to get their hands on some special Pokemon-themed sweets from a chocolatier called Mary’s. The shop will soon be selling a boxed assortment of chocolates featuring Kanto’s starter Pokemon, according to Japanese news site SoraNews24.

As you can see from the pictures below, the box will have twelve pieces of chocolates in the designs of the Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, and Pikachu evolution lines along with additional sweets representing their types. For 2,160 yen (just under $20), they come in a beautiful box featuring the starter Pokemon lines in their sprite art styles.

As you can see, there are three chocolates that have the actual starter Pokemon outlines on them and the rest of the sweets have various designs to represent their grass, fire, water, and electric types.

The chocolates will also be sold in smaller sets priced at 864 yen (about $7.50) each; these will contain three pieces of chocolate based on each of the four starters’ evolution lines.

However, collectors or anyone buying the chocolates in bulk will want to take advantage of the twelve-piece assortment, especially since it comes in the beautiful collector box.

Mary’s Chocolatier, which is based in Tokyo’s Ota Ward and has an online shop, is offering this Pokemon chocolate assortment as part of their Valentine’s Day 2022 collection, but they are making it available to purchase starting on Dec. 24 online and in early January in store.
