With Halo Infinite embracing the open-world approach for the first time in the series, Master Chief has a whole lot of ground to cover on the Zeta Halo. As such, you’re going to want to make use of Halo Infinite’s fast travel system. You can’t just use it right from the beginning, though, you’ll need to unlock fast travel points across the map. Here’s everything you need to know about using fast travel in Halo Infinite.
Unlocking Fast Travel
To unlock fast travel in Halo Infinite, you first need to complete the two opening missions and reach Zeta Halo. Once you have, you’ll then need to capture the various FOBs that have been occupied by the Banished over the past few months.
To do this, eliminate all of the Banished enemies surrounding and FOB, and when they’re all gone, you can interact with the terminal on the FOB itself to reclaim it for the UNSC forces.
When an FOB has been reclaimed, you can then fast travel to it whenever you like.
Fast Traveling in Halo Infinite
To fast travel in Halo Infinite, open your map by pressing the View button and then highlight the FOB you would like to fast travel to by moving your left analog stick.
With the FOB highlighted, simply press X, and then confirm that you want to fast travel. Halo Infinite will then load for a little bit, before dropping you right outside the FOB you’d selected.
You can now use your FOB to call in any vehicles and weapons you’ve unlocked, so you’re ready to take on whatever the Banished throw at you.
That’s everything you need to know on how to fast travel in Halo Infinite. For more tips, tricks and guides, be sure to head over to our wiki or see more of our coverage on the game below.
