The next chapter will be based on the popular Japanese horror novel and movie adaptation, Ringu, which also got an American adaptation called The Ring. The IP features the iconic demon girl in the well, Sadako, who haunts anyone who watches a cursed video tape of her murder and plots to kill them in seven days.

Dead by Daylight has seen the inclusion of several licensed characters including Michael Myers, Leatherface, and Freddy Krueger. While the developers have not confirmed that Sadako herself will join the lineup, we’ll keep you updated as more info comes our way.

Dead by Daylight is now available on PC and consoles.
