How to Fix Apex Legends ‘Patching Files’ Issue
First off, this guide will be explaining what worked for us, so, hopefully, it’ll work for you as well. The first thing you’ll want to do is click on the game’s update icon in Origin, then press Pause Download. Next, you’ll want to open up Task Manager and completely close Origin.
After closing it, right-click on the Origin application and press Run as Administrator to start it back up. Go back to the Apex Legends icon, click it, and this time, select Repair. This repair process might take a little while, but you shouldn’t be stuck nearly as long as with the ‘patching files’ hang-up.
Once the repair is completed, you should be all good to go. Fingers crossed that this solution works out just as well for you as it did for us.
