New World is an ambitious pirate-themed MMORPG developed and published by Amazon Games, and it’s filled with tons of resources to gather. Things can get out of hand very quickly, especially if you’re planning on getting into the crafting mechanics of the game. If you’re having trouble finding some of the resources you need for crafting, we’ve got you covered as well. Here’s where to get Petalcaps in New World.
Getting Petalcaps in New World
Petalcaps are one of the plant-based resources you can get in New World, and they’re primarily used for crafting potions at the Arcana Repository. However, even if you don’t plan on leveling up Arcana, there are a couple of quests in the game that require you to go fetch some. Harvesting Fronded Petalcaps can sometimes yield pigments, which are used for making dyes, so it’s a good idea to familiarize yourself with their locations either way.
The good news is that they’re all very concentrated in one area of the map, making them pretty easy to farm. They’re found scattered all over the Windsward region, and we’ve included a map screenshot down below to give you an idea of where to look, courtesy of the folks working on the New World Interactive Map:
The Fronded Petalcaps look like large green flowers on the ground, so they’re hard to miss. One thing to note is that you do need to have a sickle equipped before you can start harvesting the Fronded Petalcaps. Once you have a sickle on you, simply approach the plant and press the E key to start harvesting.
