Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade is a re-release of the 2020 action RPG, complete with PS5 enhancements and a new story DLC called Episode Intermission. This new story chapter features Yuffie as the main playable character, and you get to explore Midgar through her perspective and engage in some new side activities as well. Using Ninja Cannonball in FF7 Remake Episode Intermission
In Episode Intermission, Yuffie can synergize with Sonon to pull off special abilities together, but doing so requires both of them to have one charged ATB gauge. This can take a while, as Sonon needs time to charge up his own ATB gauge.
However, once you reach chapter 2 of the DLC and infiltrate Shinra HQ, you’ll be able to obtain a materia orb called Ninja Cannonball. This is story-related and can’t be missed, and you’ll get it while you’re in the Advanced Weaponry section.
Equip the materia to one of Yuffie’s materia slots, and you’ll be able to start using this ability in combat.
While in combat, synergize with Sonon by pressing the L2 button. Then, hold R1 and press the triangle button to use Ninja Cannonball. This is an attack where Sonon throws Yuffie towards an enemy, dealing moderate physical damage to them. Not only does it deal damage, it also gives Sonon’s ATB gauge a significant boost, allowing you to access your synergized attacks much quicker.
Needless to say, this is a very useful ability to have on you at all times, as using synergized attacks is a great way to deal tons of damage in one go.
