Nier Replicant contains a pretty involved fishing system that players can get absolutely lost in, and figuring out the different requirements to catch each fish can have you fishing for hours. If you’re having trouble catching Black Bass though, you’ve come to the right place. Here’s how to get Black Bass in Nier Replicant.
How to Get Black Bass in Nier Replicant
To catch Black Bass, head on over to Nier’s Village. You won’t need any bait for this one, as using just your Lure will cause this fish to bite as long as you’re in the right spot.
You’ll want to start fishing along the bank, to the right of the town center. Once you get a bite, just press Circle on PlayStation or B on Xbox to start reeling in your catch. To fully reel in the line, pull back on the left analog stick, in the opposite direction of the ripples in the water until the fish runs out of stamina.
Catching Black Bass is part of the Fisherman’s Gambit questline, and the fish can simply be bought after completing this part of the quest. The bass can be bought at the Fish Shop in Seafront for 3,000 gold if you’re tired of fishing for it. You can also sell it for 1,500 gold if you have more bass than you need.
