Fortnite’s Halloween event, Fortnitemares, has officially kicked off for 2020, bringing with it some festive tweaks to the Battle Royale gameplay, a whole host of new cosmetics, and of course, some challenges to complete. In this guide, we’ll be running through all of the Fortnitemares 2020 challenges, including the end date of the event, so you know how long you’ve got to complete them.

- Travel 100 Meters on a Witch Broom – 40,000 XP

Currently, six of the nine Fortnitemares challenges we’ll be getting this year are locked and will go live on Saturday, Oct. 24, and Tuesday, Oct. 27 respectively.
Down below, we’ve explained how to complete each of the challenges to make things nice and easy for you.
Become a Shadow
All you need to do to become a shadow is die in any of the ‘Fortnitemares’ game modes, be that Solo, Duos, or Squads.
When you die, you’ll return to the map as a Shadow, giving you a second chance at snatching that sweet Victory Royale. To quickly farm this challenge, build up and kill yourself immediately and rinse and repeat three times.
Travel 100 Meters on a Witch Broom
The Witch Broom is a new item that can be found in the same-looking barrels as fishing rods. These witch broom-wielding barrels can only be found at the various witch huts that have appeared across the map following today’s update.
Once you’ve got a broom, simply select it from your inventory and use RT/ R2 to hop on it and start flying around on it.
Travel for 100 meters to complete the challenge.
Eat Candy
Candy has also been added to the map and provides players with either a quick health or shield buff, or grants them a special ability like zero-G jumping.
Candy can be found in Candy Buckets scattered all across the map, mainly in named locations outside of houses.
Destroy the bucket with your pickaxe and any candy will drop on the floor in front of you, as shown in the screenshot above.
When Does Fortnitemares 2020 End?
Fortnitemares will end on Nov. 1, meaning the event will span 12 days.
