Kingdoms of Amalur, the cult RPG from the PS3 and Xbox 360 days, is back and looking better than ever thanks to a new remaster for modern consoles. If this action-RPG is giving you any trouble in the combat department, we’re here with a guide on how to dodge in Kingdoms of Amalur Re-Reckoning, so that you can evade enemy attacks and hang on to that precious health of yours.
How to Dodge in Kingdoms of Amalur Re-Reckoning
All you need to do in order to dodge incoming attacks in Kingdoms of Amalur is press Circle on PS4 or B on Xbox One. That’s all there is to it.
You can dodge once or you can gain greater distance by pressing the button twice for a double dodge move. And since you can’t lock on to enemies, dodging is very important in order to survive encounters.
Your dodge move can even change into different abilities if you put points towards specific categories. For example, when you place more points into Sorcery, you can unlock “Blink’ which replaces the normal dodge roll with a teleportation move, allowing you to travel through enemies.
It’s also worth pointing out that if you’re attempting to stealth your way around enemies, dodge rolls will not break stealth mode, so you can literally just roll past people and they won’t notice at all, especially if your Stealth skill is upgraded.
And last thing, dodges do not have invincibility frames by default, so try not to roll towards an enemy attack. Simply dodge out of the way or else you’ll take damage. As you progress, you’ll have the option to get armor or weapons that increase the chance that enemies will miss you when you dodge.
And hopefully, all of that helped you learn how to dodge in Kingdoms of Amalur Re-Reckoning. If you’re on the hunt for even more tips and tricks to survive this RPG, just search Twinfinite or scroll down for more related coverage.
