The Podium Pass is similar to battle passes that battle royale and FPS games have made popular over the last few years. With two variants, free and VIP, you can unlock new cosmetic items and access to challenges as you play the game and go up tiers.

In F1 2020, the Podium Pass gives you access to new liveries, paint jobs and badge options for My Team. If you pre-ordered the game before its release of July 10, you’ll get enough points to unlock the premium Podium Pass, and the Season 1 rewards will include enough to purchase the following season’s.

How to Get Podium Pass in F1 2020

To actually get the Podium Pass and begin working towards earning what’s on offer, head to the Home section of the F1 2020 menu and press L3. This will open up the Player Card Hub and let you choose between Podium Pass and Super License. Click on the former and you’ll see the 30 tiers that make up the pass.

From there, you’ll be able to just unlock the free content by playing, or press square/X to start the process of buying the VIP version. It costs 9000 Pit Coins and you can buy them from here by pressing X/A and following the store process on your platform. You should already have some of you pre-ordered the game though.

At the time of writing, the store isn’t available, but it should be soon.

Then, with it purchased, you will start unlocking the content as you play, with a new pass being released each season. Season one lasts 53 days, so you’ve got a while to keep grinding.
