If you’re looking to get all the trophies on offer in The Last of Us 2, you’ll need to unlock a trophy called ‘Looks Good on You.’ The description for the trophy is to put a hat on your companion, but other than that, you’re left to figure out how to unlock this trophy on your own. In this Last of Us 2 ‘Looks Good on You’ trophy guide, we’ll talk you through how you put a hat on your companion.
How to Put a Hat on Your Companion in The Last of Us 2
You’ll be able to unlock the ‘Looks Good on You’ trophy during ‘The Birthday Gift’ sub chapter in Seattle Day 1. During this section, Ellie and Joel will find themselves exploring a Wyoming Museum. They’ll creep through the front doors and Ellie will make a comment about a dinosaur brochure/ book.
After the little cutscene as they come through the door, you’ll want to walk over to the right-hand side of this entrance hall. You’ll find a brown hat in this little gift shop area. Walk over to it and press Triangle to interact with it.
Now that you’ve picked it up, you can’t just put it on Joel right away. Instead, you’ll need to place it on two dinosaurs in the museum first. The first can be found by following the hallway as it winds round until you enter the large room with all the dinosaur skeletons in it. You want to place the hat on this dinosaur right by where you enter the room first.
After Ellie makes her humorous little joke about being a ‘Hatasaur’ and takes the hat back off, turn around and you’ll find a Triceratops skeleton right behind you. Press Triangle again when standing by this one’s head to place the hat on this dinosaur.
Press Triangle to have Ellie take it off, then look at Joel. You should now have the option to press Triangle to interact with him.
Do this to have Ellie place the hat on his head. Congratulations, you’ve just unlocked The Last of Us 2’s ‘Looks Good on You’ trophy.
