The Wonderful 101 Remastered – New Switch Games (May 2020)

The Wonderful 101

PlatinumGames is known for creating some of the slickest and stylish action games of all time such as Bayonetta, NieR: Automata, and Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance. The talented team also developed a new IP back in the Wii U era called The Wonderful 101.

While the superhero-focused action title didn’t make waves due to the lackluster sales of the Wii U, the title was fun and it’s now coming to modern consoles as a remastered port.

You can check this remaster out once it launches on May 19 for the Switch. It may not be a “new” game but it’ll keep Switch owners busy in a particularly slow gaming month.

Ninjala – New Switch Games (May 2020)

ninjala open beta, switch, issues

Ninjala is a brand-new IP from GungHo Entertainment with art and character designs that absolutely screams Splatoon. While the visual style is alarmingly similar, Ninjala has a bit of a different gameplay premise.

It’s a free-to-play battle royale game where you can use Ninja-gum to attack your opponents and use special abilities to move around and explore the environment.

There was an open beta just this week that’s closed off now, but you’ll be able to try it out for yourself when it launches on May 28 for the Nintendo Switch.

Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition – New Switch Games (May 2020)

Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition is a remastered version of the incredible, open-world JRPG that originally released on the Nintendo Wii. This remaster is not only just better-looking but it also comes with some quality of life changes that makes the entire game a much better experience.

This JRPG will take dozens of hours for you to see it all and get to the end but it’s a very charming game that excels in storytelling, character development, and has a beautiful and lush world to explore with tons to do.

There’s even a new epilogue for those that have played the game before that drops more story content to close up loose ends of the plot.

Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition launches for the Nintendo Switch on May 29 and it’ll no doubt be the biggest new Switch release for May 2020.
